Walk of the Week

Walk of the Week

If you thought the coastal path seemed a bit busier this weekend, it may be because it was the Times choice for "Walk of the Week".

It's hard to argue when the Times says that the walk, from Anstruther to Elie, on "the Fife Coastal Path, designated one of Scotland’s Great Trails, this bite-sized section is arguably one of the best." (Unless arguing that should be "inarguably".)

And if the coastal path walkers seemed a little slow, then maybe that's because that was what the Times recommended:

"There’s really no other way to enjoy the sheer variety of highlights on this route than to take it slow. Dotted with quaint working fishing villages, teetering castle ruins and remnants of historic industries, the walk creates a wave of nostalgia that’s almost meditative" with "soothing seascapes across to the Pentland Hills, the Bass Rock and the Isle of May."

No arguments with that either.
