There are lots of interesting new displays and exhibitions at the Scottish Fisheries Museum.

Recently added is a a special exhibition of model boats, in memory of David Tod BEM, former chairman and vice-president of the museum, and an enthusiastic model boat maker. He was the founding chairman of the Scottish Fisheries Museum Model Boat Club in 2008, and exhibited at every one of its annual events. His favourite models form the basis of the current exhibition. He was also instrumental in the founding of the SFM Boats Club to maintain and crew the Reaper in 1985, acting as club chairman.

Another new exhibition is When It Rains, We Harvest: Cuando Llueve, Cosechamos - running from 16 April - 19 June. Entry is part of the general admission to the museum. We have more information about the exhibition in an earlier article - https://www.eastneuknow.com/home/news/read/when-it-rains-we-harvest_528

The Scottish Fisheries Museum has also partnered with Falkland Estate, Cambo Gardens and St Andrews Heritage Museum and Garden to host a major display of textile art created by communities across the globe to voice their personal experiences, hopes and ambitions around climate change. Over 150 textile designs created as part of the Loving Earth international community project are on display across the four venues. The Scottish Fisheries Museum has sea-themed panels on display
