Crail Community Hall

3 & 4 December 2022 – 11 am – 4 pm

On the 3rd and 4th of December Crail Community Hall will be transformed into a Christmas Wonderland with over twenty stalls spread out in the small and the large halls, displaying arts and crafts from Fife – a guarantee for creative and unique Christmas presents for the whole family. Entry is free but donations for the upkeep of the hall are welcome.

While the B listed former Church Hall, with its arched wooden beams, will be the hub for shopping, children’s cake decorating will take place on Sunday in the small hall where the Christmas Cafe will be located. ‘Cups ‘n Cakes’ by Monica Robertson, as at previous fayres,  promises delights with a twist merging all-time favourites with inspiration from across the pond. Cakes and coffee will be available for take-away as well as sit-in, and light, savoury lunch bites will be served too.

The large and small halls will feature stalls from a wide variety of local creators of arts and crafts, including glass art, ceramics, cards, drawings, paintings, wood art, candles, skin care, wool and fabric crafts and much more.

Kids can be pre-booked to participate in cake decorating sessions on Sunday at 12 & 2 pm at £5 per child. Sessions will last aprox. one hour to give parents time to browse or enjoy cake and coffee in peace while watching the wee ones having fun.

The local choir will add to the festive atmosphere with two short performances on the stage in the large hall on Saturday at 12 & 2 pm.

Dennis Gowans, Events Manager at Crail Community Hall stated: “We are delighted to run our third fayre in just one year. The first Christmas Fayre in December 2021 was a huge success and was followed by our Easter Fayre in spring. There will be a good mix of well known artists and new and exciting arts and crafts available from first-time stall holders, providing a great browsing and shopping experience in a relaxed atmosphere.”

The weekend will conclude with a Christmas Concert starting at 7.30 pm in the large hall on December 4th. The Madrigals and The Other Guys from St Andrews University will perform their new repertoir of contemporary and seasonal tunes as well as classic Christmas songs and hymns. The Madrigals will open the evening and will be followed by The Other Guys after the interval. Both groups were a great success in 2021, and due to popular demand were asked to return. The high quality and entertainment value of their performances will provide something for everybody to enjoy.
