Welcome to East Neuk Now, your gateway to local knowledge for those who live, work in or visit our community.

The East Neuk is a unique area in Scotland, made up of several villages once described as a string of natural pearls (the villages) laid along a rugged coast. The string that connects them is the people, history and heritage. There is nothing chocolate box about our communities as all are vibrant and hard working. Many families go back generations while others came to visit, fell in love with the area and decided to stay. That mix is what makes the East Neuk. Visitors are, now more than ever, important to us.

We live between the land and the sea. Farming and fishing are still the key traditional economic activities with tourism a major contributor to the economy. The area produces the very finest products for all to enjoy.

The fabulous walks of the Coastal Path, its birds, ancient sites and stunning vistas run past our homes. We are the jumping off point for the May Isle National Nature Reserve famed for its seabirds and seal sanctuary. World renowned golf courses are in our midst or close by at St Andrews. Beautiful places to stay, great pubs, spoilt for choice for restaurants and, of course, the best fish and chips in the world! Our extensive range of community and national festivals include local heritage, food, the arts, music and photography.

We are very fortunate to live in such a beautiful area. Help us to help our people and businesses thrive and maintain the very best East Neuk experience, everyday life.
